What does "pasture raised" mean for eggs?Updated 3 months ago
Unfortunately, the term pasture-raised is not regulated. So this can mean chickens live inside a barn and have access to a small door and a single pasture 365 days out of the year (which gets degraded).
Eggs from truly pasture-raised chickens contain significantly more nutrients since the chicken’s diet directly affects the level of nutrients in the eggs. Hens on pasture have access to all kinds of things not available to chickens in a cage where the producer reduces the feed down to just a few ingredients like corn and soy with minimal (or no) pasture access.
Our eggs go beyond pasture raised. Our hens are rotated around our pastures in a regenerative manner, utilizing our mobile chicken coops, which provides the hens with fresh grass on a regular basis.
